For this week we learned the basics on how to design an electronic circuit board. There are different types of circuit boards and methods to produce them. We chose milling to do a first try. We went into the site Mods Project and tested the images we wanted to print into the copper board. After arranging the parameters for the board we went to the machine to print it.
The most important things to take into consideration is the tips, to know which one to use for the inside circuit design and then for the outside border. Then to define the x and y and set up the height in z so the machine cuts precisely the board. Tips are very fragile and can break easily so you have to handle them with care and never touch the tip's end.
After setting up the parameters we tried soldering into them. We learned the basics and started experimenting.
We used magnifying lenses to see more clearly the circuits and work better on the board.
